With June 4 being National Cheese Day and all, it’s only fitting that we’d share some cheesy chef hacks.
Grate Cheese!
Need to grate a semi-soft cheese? Freeze the cheese for about 30 minutes and it will be solid enough to grate with ease.
Soft Floss
Use unscented dental floss to cut soft foods (cheeses, cakes, etc.)
Serve at Room Temperature
Please don’t eat your cheese cold. You are seriously missing out if you do. Take your cheese out of the fridge at least an hour before serving.
Keep It Fresh, But Not Too Fresh
Cheese is alive and needs to breathe! Loosely wrap your cheese in wax paper and tuck it into a paper bag.
Zesty
Add a little lemon zest to your mornay sauce. Trust us.
