Restaurant Industry Golf & Pickleball Outing 2023 Recap
On June 19 and 20, 2023, we enjoyed the 3rd Food & Drink Resources (FDR) Golf + Pickleball Outing here in Denver. Thanks to the 22 sponsors and others who covered the costs of players and donated prizes, we raised $30,000 for Feeding America and the Denver-based Food Bank of the Rockies!
Evening Reception
Sponsors provided food and beverage for our Monday evening reception, which a little over 100 people attended at the FDR Research & Innovation Center. That night, we raised $3,000 in mulligans and golf ball cannon tickets (plus a little extra for the bartender tips).

And The Golf Winners Are. . .
We had a total of 18 golf teams made up of players ranging from beginners to pros.
Winning Team: David Neves (Spectrum Senior Living), Andrew Kintigh (Casey’s), Rick Garcia, and Chris Garcia (Frontier Food Group)
Losing Team (a/k/a Dead Ass Last): Jack Moore, Paul Kirtley, John Breen (all from Smithfield), and Gary Kawalec (Circle K)
Pickleball
This year, for the first time, the event included pickleball. It turned out to be a lively, easy-going group made up mostly of first-timers. Pickleball WILL return at next year’s event.
Next Year’s Outing
Every year our goal is to bring together chefs, marketing professionals, food and beverage manufacturers, and others in the corporate restaurant industry for a fun event in support of a worthy cause.
