Again this year, Food & Drink Resources along with our colleagues in the national food/beverage manufacturing and restaurant industries were able to golf in Denver to benefit Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters program locally. In all, we raised $8,000 thanks to sponsors (you can learn about all of them here) and players who purchased mulligans and played in other games – like the marshmallow longest drive!

Because six-weeks of take-home and in-class groceries per Cooking Matters class participant is only $33, our $8,000 donation will provide 242 Colorado families with healthy food ingredients to practice the skills they learn in class at home with the children in their care. Over those six weeks, that’s nearly 6,000 meals, since each participant receives enough groceries to feed a family of four!

We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2019. In the meantime, enjoy a few photos.
